Practice Nurses

  • Clare Costello – Female
    RN Bsc (Hons) Cancer Nursing
    Clare qualified as a RN (adult) in 1998 and spent many years working as an oncology nurse, with a particular interest in cancer research and clinical trials. Clare joined the Benhill and Belmont practice in 2014 and currently works part time across both sites. Clare enjoys all aspects of practice nursing, but has a special interest in diabetes and immunisations.
  • Helen Johnson – Female
    RGN RM Bsc (Hons) Healthcare Practice
    Helen has been a practice nurse at Benhill and Belmont since 2001, having worked previously as a midwife for many years, both in hospital and in the community. Before that she worked in intensive care and surgical nursing. She enjoys all aspects of general practice nursing but is particularly interested in the management of long term conditions, such as diabetes, COPD and asthma. She qualified as an independent nurse prescriber in 2014. Helen is married, has two grown up children and lives locally.
  • Joanna Mayne – Female
    BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing Studies
    Jo qualified from The University of Surrey in 2013 and worked at St Thomas’ Hospital London for three and half years as an Intensive Care Nurse throughout Critical Care. During this time she volunteered for one month in October 2016 as a Critical Care Nurse in Nepal, after the Earthquake. Jo returned to the UK in 2018 after working for a year as a Critical Care Nurse across Australia, during 2017.She joined Benhill and Belmont GP Centre in April 2018, completing Core General Practice Nursing Modules at Kingston – St Georges. She is currently undertaking a PGDip in Primary Care (Practice Nursing) at City University of London.
  • Jennie Morrison
    Jennie qualified as a Registered Nurse from Kingston University in 2009 and went straight into Practice Nursing. She has worked in the local area since qualifying but moved to Benhill and Belmont in 2021. Jennie has a special interest in the management of long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma and COPD; she has recently completed the Non-Medical Prescribing course at St Georges University. Jennie also has an interest in the education and development of all staff, and works as the clinical lead for Sutton Training Hub.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

  • Amanda Knights – Female
    RGN BSc. Independent Nurse Prescriber (V300), Advanced Nurse Practitioner 
    I am a Nurse Practitioner at Benhill and Belmont and I have been at the surgery first as a Practice Nurse for ten years then I did my advanced practice nursing degree to become a Nurse Practitioner which I have been doing for the last eight years; I am also a nurse prescriber. I work alongside both the GPs and Nurses as my role is with both areas of primary care. I have a special interest in Asthma and COPD.

Health Care Assistants

  • Jackie Hart – Female
    I have been an HCA at Benhill and Belmont GP Centre for three years.During my time here I have completed an Immunisation course in May 2018. I completed an Ear Syringing course in February 2018. HCA Skills course, which I completed in May 2017. I hold my Care Certificate, which I completed in December 2017. ​I am also trained in Phlebotomy and hold my own Phlebotomy clinic on a Tuesday morning at the Belmont surgery. I’m married with two children and live locally.
  • Robyn Milton
    I have been a HCA at Benhill and Belmont since Febuary 2020 working towards my Care Certificate, also undergoing extended Training such as assisting in minor ops and Immunization training. I work closely alongside the nursing team to ensure they have everything they need to help with their day to day clinics, I also co-ordinate the Learning Disability annual health checks and assist in family planning clinics with the Doctors.
