Action Plan - Waiting Times

The National Survey was reviewed by Dawn Dodd Practice Manager and the following would be put into place before end March 2016.

  1. Check that doctors and nurses are starting clinics on time.
  2. Notices that doctors only deal with maximum TWO issues for 10 minute consultation.
  3. Monitor doctors’ times and liaise for improvement with any doctor consistently running late.
  4. Monitor locums and timings.
  5. Notices in waiting rooms, website and prescriptions about waiting times.
  6. Make sure patients know to advise reception after 30 minutes in case there is a communication problem i.e. not signing in correctly or doctor not refreshing screen.
